Recipes: Serving Suggestions
Makes 4 cups
Ingredients:
- 4 cups of Imagine Organic Butternut Squash Soup
- 1 cup of toasted sourdough croutons
- ¼ cup of toasted Squash seeds
- 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh cilantro
- 4 tablespoons of cream or sour cream
Directions:
- Bring soup to a simmer and heat thoroughly.
- Ladle into bowls, swirl in a tablespoon of cream and garnish with croutons, Squash seed and cilantro and serve with warm crusty bread.
- Use as a base for soups, sauces, stews, and vegetable dishes.
- Try it in place of water to cook risotto, polenta, rice, or couscous.
- A simple base for versatile sauces:
Simmer uncovered to Reduce Chicken Broth by half. Add fresh herbs like tarragon along with a little butter, sour cream, or cream to thicken. Simmer briefly and serve over fish, noodles, vegetables, or rice.
- Quick and easy organic chicken noodle soup:
Bring Chicken Broth to a boil. Add finely chopped vegetables and fast cooking noodles like Angel Hair pasta. Cover and simmer several minutes. Season to taste and enjoy!
